Your results are consistent with other poll results on other blogs on what type of presentation people like to give.

I haven’t seen yet which format people prefer to hear.

It wasn’t that surprising to see such a huge majority voting for a talk as their preferred medium for communicating science. I did personally vote for a talk, but I always prefer a bit of human interaction. However a poster can be very helpful for summing up information concisely, clearly and memorably – plus it can be taken anywhere and shown at any time. On the other hand a talk can be made personal, whereas a poster is what it is, for instance it can’t be adapted to the mood of the audience.
In this case, your poster does what it says – although I think we would all rather you give a talk on your results….I have a new flip camcorder…YouTube??
