I’ve worked hard on this for the last couple of months, but the Share Your Sci website is now live and ready to be explored in its full yellow-and-greyscale glory. The great news for you is that I will have more time for this blog again. As I described in the previous post, the content on easternblot.net will change slightly in the sense that content aimed at scientists will go to Share Your Sci (which, incidentally, also has its own newsletter.)
What is Share Your Sci?
Share Your Sci is a starting point for busy researchers who are interested in the communicating their work to a broader audience, but don’t have time to dig deep into the science communication literature. The site breaks down topics into short articles, and links to more information where relevant. At this moment, there are seven short articles on the site, but there are many more in the pipeline. There’s also a curated list of external organisations that help scientists learn about or actively get involved with science communication.

To celebrate the launch of Share Your Sci, the first webinar is entirely free. It takes place online on January 21st, but to get access you will need to register online before Friday January 18th.
This 30-minute webinar will address ways to find free-to-use images for science talks, websites and blog posts. It covers reverse image search, image credits, and places to find science images online.
